The history of Hemlock Farms begins in the years following the American Revolution. Many thousands of small farms were established in the first half of the 19th century. By the early 20th century most of the land around Hemlock Farms wound up in the preserves of the private hunting and fishing clubs. By the year 1963 the entire property was sold out to Western Heritage Properties. Hemlock Farms is currently known as a private residential gated community located in northeast Pennsylvania, within a 4500 acre sanctuary in the Pocono mountains and surrounded by more than 84000 acres of pristine state and forest gamelands.
